- Desde su llegada a Los Pinos, la esposa del presidente mexicanos, Angélica Rivera, se ha visto envuelta en distintos escándalos relacionados con la adquisición de propiedades y el tráfico de influencias, además de provocar la indignación en amplios sectores de la sociedad por sostener un tren de vida ostentoso. En este contexto, la periodista Sanjuana Martínez ha escrito un perfil de La gaviota que, a partir de entrevistas, documentos y fotografías, retrata su infancia, los inicios de su carrera artística en Televisa y su camino para convertirse en la esposa del presidente Enrique Peña Nieto. Los bienes raíces que se le adjudican, la intervención de la Iglesia católica en la deseada disolución de su matrimonio con José Alberto Castro, sus excesos en los viajes presidenciales y sus discordias con el primer mandatario conforman esta trama de avaricia, poder y ambiciones desmedidas.
