- Image shows the Commercial Hotel on West Center Street at the corner of Lemon Street. The hotel windows and the two main doors are draped in two forty eight star flags, with one forty wight star flag in the center of the two. The railing on the second story is covered with painted scenes and the center has a draped forty eight star flag. Also on the left side of photograph are two unidentified men standing in front of the corner door, both are wearing suits, a tree is visiable and a sign that says DANCING. A utility pole is on the sidewalk. Four unidentified men are standing to the right of the corner door, they are wearing uniforms. A large white dog with dark colored ears is standing behind them.Trees are lining the street in an area by the sidewalk on the right side of the photograph. West Center Street appears to be paved

- Commercial Hotel was formerly named the Anaheim Hotel. John J. Everharty changed the name in 1890, 1895 L. G. Maxwell of Los Angeles bought the hotel, 1903 R. Folkers owned it and in 1905 John B. Ziegler owned and operated until 1915, when he tore it down to build another hotel
