- Summary
- 4th of July celebration about 1885, with a parade on Center Street, Anaheim, California. Businesses identified by signs are P. Davis & Bro. , a grocery, banking and insurance company (later was the Fritz Yungbluth's clothing store) and B. Weiskopf. Planters hotel on the Norh side of Center Street shows the brick part of building that did not burn. An S and the word Hotel painted on the side of the building is visible. Stables on the North side of Center Street is the Fashion Stables, owned by Lafayette Lewis. On the south side of Center Street is Kroeger Hall. The parade is going through a large arch erected in the street 100 feet west of Anaheim Boulevard, a flag is on top of the arch. The are bands, horses, spectators, a float and parade participants in the photograph
