This travel show host visits splendid monuments of Iran's past, explores the 20th century history of this nation, and encounters Iranian people and customs in everyday life. Visits contrast old and new as he visits the cities, villages, and tourist sites of Tehran, Abyaneh, Esfahan, Shiraz, and Persepolis. The one hour special is supplemented with special features assessing his experience through a lecture/slide presentation and an interview with his Iranian guide
